Reading Specialists

Reading support services are available for students who qualify.  Reading Specialists provide specially designed instruction and interventions to students in small groups as well as in co-taught classroom settings.  Reading Specialists at the Middle School include Teri Baustien, Erin Bolton, Joelle Fair and Victoria Principe.  Katie Kohler is the intervention teacher.

Ms. Teri Baustien

Mrs. BaustienMs. Baustien is a reading specialist at Stroudsburg Middle School.  She has a B.S. in therapeutic recreation from Temple University.  She also has a B.S. in elementary education and a M.S. in reading from East Stroudsburg University. According to her, she has the best job in the world.

Ms. Erin Bolton

Ms. BoltonMs. Bolton began her teaching career at Stroudsburg Area School District in the 2004-2005 school year.  She earned her bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg University majoring in Secondary Education/Communication Speech.  In the summer of 2008 she earned her master's degree from East Stroudsburg University to become a Reading Specialist.  She currently serves as a 6th and 7th grade Reading Specialist.

Mrs. Joelle Fair

Mrs. FairMrs. Fair has been working in the district since 1997.  She is a reading specialist for grades 5 and 6.  Mrs. Fair received her BS and MA from East Stroudsburg University.  She enjoys spending time with her three boys, running, biking, swimming , and reading at the beach.

Mrs. Victoria Principe

Mrs. PrincipeMrs. Principe is a Reading Specialist at the Stroudsburg Middle School.  She has been teaching in the district since 1990.  She has also had experience teaching kindergarten and second grade.  She has earned undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education and Psychology from Muhlenburg College and a Master's degree in Reading from East Stroudsburg University.
