Our Guidance Counselors

Mrs. Jennifer Borzio

Mrs. BorzioMrs. Borzio is the 6th grade guidance counselor at the Middle School.  Prior to becoming a counselor, she taught Family and Consumer Sciences for five years.  She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and Marywood University with a Master’s degree in secondary school counseling.

Ms. Athena DeBenedetto

Mrs. SchieldMs. DeBenedetto is the 5th grade guidance counselor at the Middle School.  Ms. DeBenedetto has worked as a guidance counselor for 3 years although the 2008-2009 school year is her first at Stroudsburg Middle School. She earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology and her Master's in Elementary School Counseling from the University of Scranton. In addition to working with children in the school setting she also works as a child therapist for a community agency.

Our School Psychologist

Ms. Sarah Leskosky

Ms. LeskoskyMs. Leskosky is a School Psychologist at Stroudsburg Middle School.  She began working in the Stroudsburg Area School District during December of 2007.  She first earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wilkes University in 2003.  Ms. Leskosky went on to pursue her Master of Arts in Psychology from Marywood University.  She then earned her School Psychologist Certification (Educational Specialist I) through Bucknell University during June of 2007.  While at Bucknell University, she completed 1200 hours of internship within the Hazleton Area School District.  Prior to the Stroudsburg Area School District, Ms. Leskosky worked as a Mobile Therapist and a Therapeutic Staff Support worker with Northeast Counseling Services, Hazleton.  She also was an assistant coach for the Hazleton Area High School Cross Country team.  Ms. Leskosky enjoys running and being active.  She loves shopping and knitting as well.  She values time spent with her family and feisty, little Jack Russell Terrier, Penny.
