About Our Program

The Middle School/Junior High Field Hockey Program is offered to 7th and 8th grade students. Many of our players have participated in intramurals as early as 3rd grade. We work on the basics of field hockey at this level, so there is no experience necessary to play. During the season (mid Aug. thru mid Oct.), we practice or play games after school every day. Once the season is over, we participate in indoor leagues and several tournaments. 

Important Information

Pre-season, for the Fall 2010 season, will begin on August 16th from 5-7 PM at the field behind SIES. Players need shin guards, mouth guard, stick, and cleats to play. Players must also have a physical at that time in order to try-out. Physicals for 7th and 8th grade players will be Tuesday, August 10th at the Middle School from 6:45-7:45 or you may get a physical from your doctor. Students can pick up forms in the Main Office of the Junior High or Middle School.

We will begin intramurals every Wednesday from 9-11 AM at the high school field. They will start June 16th and go until July 28th. Our team also participates in a summer league at the high school on Monday nights from 6-8 PM. Come and check out the program!
